Jesuit Rangers football · 2026 season.

The Jesuit Rangers opened their home slate at Ranger Stadium on Friday night, battling the high-powered Rockwall Yellow Jackets before ultimately falling 51-28. The non-district clash showcased several bright spots for the Jesuit offense, which kept the home crowd energized early on before Rockwall's ground attack and ball control pulled away in the second half.

Quarterback J.P. Livingstone continued to build on his early-season chemistry with wide receiver Joseph Konings. In the first quarter, Livingstone capped off a strong drive by finding Konings in the end zone for a touchdown, keeping pace with Rockwall's early scoring output. The Jesuit defense also stepped up in the opening frame, highlighted by defensive back Jackson Long delivering a powerful stop right at the line of scrimmage to stuff the run.

As Rockwall extended its lead, the Rangers kept fighting and executing crucial plays. In the third quarter, Livingstone orchestrated a clutch fourth-down conversion, connecting with Konings near the left sideline to keep the chains moving. That crucial deep pass set up a dynamic 25-yard rushing touchdown down the left sideline, bringing another surge of momentum to the Jesuit sideline.

Despite the explosive moments and relentless effort, Rockwall's offensive consistency proved too much as they managed the clock in the final quarter. The Rangers will look to bounce back, refine their game plan, and secure their first win of the season next Friday when they host Forney.
