The Jesuit Rangers saw their impressive four-game winning streak come to a halt on Friday night, falling to the visiting Prosper Eagles 54-31 at Ranger Stadium. The high-scoring district battle dropped the Rangers to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in district play.

Despite the setback, the Jesuit offense showcased its explosive capabilities early and often. Quarterback J.P. Livingstone continued his dynamic connection with top target Joseph Konings. The duo struck for a 20-yard touchdown on a brilliant screen pass, and connected again for a stunning 37-yard touchdown heave into the end zone as time expired in the first half to keep the Rangers within striking distance. Livingstone also spread the ball around, finding Max Smith for a 26-yard touchdown strike.

Special teams provided a vital spark in the face of adversity. Ben Phillips delivered a crucial kickoff return across midfield following offsetting penalties, setting the offense up with excellent field position and proving the Rangers' resilience in all three phases of the game.

However, Prosper's relentless rushing attack ultimately overwhelmed the Jesuit defense. Eagles running back Hudson Bowman proved difficult to contain, breaking loose for multiple chunk-yardage scoring runs of 26, 23, and 38 yards to systematically extend Prosper's lead and control the clock in the second half.

The Rangers will look to quickly turn the page and get back into the win column next Friday night. A massive district road test awaits as Jesuit travels to take on the Allen Eagles on October 23, aiming to reclaim their early-season momentum.
