The Jesuit Rangers celebrated Homecoming in style on Friday night, extending their winning streak to three games with a hard-fought 35-28 victory over the McKinney Boyd Broncos at Ranger Stadium. The Rangers leaned on a balanced offensive attack and opportunistic defense to improve to 2-0 in district play.

The dynamic connection between quarterback J.P. Livingstone and wide receiver Joseph Konings continued to shine. Livingstone found Konings on a pair of brilliant screen passes that went for touchdowns of 14 and 20 yards, showcasing the receiver's ability to fight through tackles and find the end zone. Livingstone also distributed the wealth, connecting with George Gladstone on the right side for another score to keep the offense humming.

On the ground, the Rangers were powered by the punishing rushing of Ty Daboub. Daboub provided the muscle between the tackles, breaking through the line of scrimmage and powering his way to a pair of crucial rushing touchdowns that helped keep the Broncos at bay.

McKinney Boyd’s explosive offense, led by quarterback Major Smith and receiver Jet Hilliard, tested the Jesuit secondary all night. Hilliard struck for multiple deep touchdowns, including a stunning 71-yard bomb. However, the Ranger defense made the decisive plays when it mattered most, highlighted by Ben Phillips tracking a deep ball and coming away with a massive interception downfield.

With the thrilling 35-28 victory secured, Jesuit enters their bye week riding a tidal wave of momentum. The 2-0 district start sets the stage for a crucial road clash on October 8, when the Rangers travel to face Walnut Grove looking to make it four wins in a row.
