Rangers Fall Short in 35-34 Heartbreaker to McKinney After Late Two-Point Attempt

Jesuit fell to McKinney 35-34. Fri · Oct 30, 2026

Jesuit Rangers football · 2026 season · District.

The Jesuit Rangers hosted the McKinney Lions in a high-stakes district clash at Ranger Stadium on Friday night, ultimately falling short 35-34 in an absolute thriller. Despite a fierce fourth-quarter comeback that culminated in a late 39-yard touchdown, the Rangers were unable to convert the ensuing game-winning two-point attempt, dropping a heartbreaker in front of their home crowd.

The Jesuit offense continued to showcase its dynamic firepower throughout the contest. Quarterback J.P. Livingstone maintained his prolific connection with Joseph Konings, finding the wide receiver for a two-yard touchdown as the first quarter expired and later launching a massive 40-yard touchdown strike into the end zone. The ground game was equally effective at moving the chains, highlighted by Livingstone's 14-yard option keeper to march into the red zone. Running back Ty DeBow anchored the rushing attack near the goal line, punching in physical touchdowns from two and six yards out.

Defensively, the Rangers recorded several impact plays, punctuated by Judson Harris breaking through the line to deliver a crucial sack on McKinney quarterback Blaise Barr. However, McKinney's relentless rushing attack, spearheaded by T.J. Corbett, ultimately proved too much to contain. Corbett found the end zone five times on the night, including a devastating 31-yard breakaway touchdown on fourth-and-three to keep the Lions in front.

Sitting at 4-5 overall and 3-3 in district play, Jesuit must quickly turn the page and channel their frustrations into preparation. The Rangers will hit the road on November 5 to face Rock Hill in the district finale, looking to end the regular season on a high note and secure a crucial bounce-back victory.
