The Colleyville Heritage Panthers stormed their way to a 1-1 record Friday night, securing their first win of the season with a 30-21 victory over the Richland Royals in an electric home opener. After a tough loss on the road in Week 1, the Panthers used a high-powered offensive attack to defend their home turf and build crucial momentum.

The Panther offense was unstoppable, finding the end zone four times through the air and on the ground. Running back Jerrod Wiley broke the game open with a spectacular 69-yard touchdown run, showcasing his elite speed. Quarterback Bodey Weaver delivered a masterful performance, connecting with Lucas Sunwall on an acrobatic touchdown catch and finding Gabriel Bess for a 28-yard score on a critical fourth down. Weaver also hit Blake Wendler for a 17-yard touchdown, capping off the offensive explosion.

With the non-district schedule now complete, the Panthers will look to carry this momentum into the start of league play. The team heads into their district opener with a balanced offensive attack and a statement win under their belts, ready to compete for a playoff spot.
