Colleyville Heritage Panthers football · 2025 season · District.

The Colleyville Heritage Panthers engaged in a high-scoring district battle Friday night but were ultimately outpaced by the Argyle Eagles, falling 58-35 at home. Despite another explosive offensive performance, the Panthers couldn't keep up with the reigning district champs, dropping their second consecutive district contest. The loss moves Colleyville Heritage to 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in district play.

The offense, led by quarterback Bodey Weaver, once again proved its mettle by putting up five touchdowns. Weaver was a dual-threat force, connecting with Gabriel Bess on a beautiful 30-yard touchdown pass and later breaking free for a spectacular 30-yard scrambling touchdown of his own. He also found Blake Wendler and Connor Souphankhaisy for touchdowns through the air, consistently keeping the Panthers within striking distance.

While the offense fired on all cylinders, the defense struggled to contain Argyle's high-powered attack. The 58 points allowed marks a season-high for the defense and comes on the heels of allowing 43 points last week. Now facing a two-game slide in district play, the Panthers will head into a much-needed bye week to regroup before their next crucial road matchup.
