Southlake Carroll delivered an emphatic statement on Saturday night, dominating district rival Trinity in a 44-6 victory at home. The Dragons controlled the contest from start to finish, showcasing their explosive offense and a suffocating defense to improve to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in district play.

Quarterback Angelo Renda was once again the catalyst for the offense, demonstrating his dual-threat capabilities all evening. Renda scored two touchdowns on the ground with powerful keeper plays and aired it out for multiple scores. He connected with Brody Knowles for a 36-yard touchdown and later found Blake Gunter, who broke numerous tackles on a short pass and turned it into a spectacular 59-yard score on 3rd and 21.

The Dragon defense was the story of the night, holding a formidable Trinity offense to a single touchdown. The unit forced key turnovers that sealed the game, including a crucial interception by Parker Harris and another by Demarcus Ware Jr. on the final play. Through four games, this relentless defense has proven to be one of the most formidable in the state.
