Fresh off a mid-season bye week, the Carroll Dragons treated their Homecoming crowd to a spectacular performance on Friday night, overwhelming the Northwest Texans 44-7 at Dragon Stadium. The victory extends Carroll's winning streak and pushes their flawless District 4-6A record to 3-0 as the offense clicked on all cylinders.

Quarterback Hudson Tomcheck orchestrated a brilliant aerial assault to put the Dragons in command early. Tomcheck connected with wide receiver Blake Gunter on a massive 63-yard touchdown strike that electrified the home fans. He also found his favorite target, Brody Knowles, for a pair of receiving scores, including a precise pass into the corner of the end zone and a well-executed screen pass that Knowles took the distance down the left sideline.

The ground game provided the perfect complement to Tomcheck's arm. Running back Dez Bryant Jr. churned out tough yardage in the trenches, repeatedly breaking tackles to move the chains. The dynamic back was also rewarded in the passing game, catching a 19-yard touchdown pass after Tomcheck scrambled to his right and delivered a strike on the run.

Carroll's offense even unveiled some new wrinkles, highlighted by a scoring drive orchestrated from the wildcat formation. Taking the direct snap, Blake Gunter followed his blocking perfectly and powered into the end zone behind Desmond Taholo to further extend the dominant lead.

Defensively, the Dragons were equally impressive, smothering a resilient Northwest squad and allowing just a single touchdown all evening. Now sitting at 4-2 overall, Carroll will remain at home next week for a massive district showdown against Keller, with crucial District 4-6A positioning on the line.
