Southlake Carroll kicked off the 2025 season in spectacular fashion, dismantling the Midland Bulldogs with a 49-0 shutout victory at home. The Dragons wasted no time asserting their dominance on both sides of the ball, setting a powerful tone for their championship aspirations.
The offense was an unstoppable force, firing on all cylinders from the opening whistle. Quarterback Angelo Renda was sharp, connecting with his receivers for multiple scores, including a deep bomb to a wide-open Brock Boyd and another precision pass to Blake Gunter for a touchdown. Not to be outdone, the ground game was equally explosive, highlighted by a long, breathtaking touchdown run from Harrison Phillips who found a seam and blazed past the Midland defense.
